Alexey BaykovIntroduce yourself. I’m Alexey Baykov, I study in the Ryazan State Pedagogical University, the faculty of computer science and english language. How did you become involved in Youth4media project? As I study programming and one of my hobbies is web-design so I’ve interested in the project youth4media and took part their as a participant. What were your innitial impressions about your first media camp? It was really a fantastic event, which influenced my life greatly. I’ve got aquainted with lots of people from different worlds at one place. Maybe I became another person cuz each participant gave much impressions to me. What new features of your character have you discovered through the participation in this project?What skills have you acquired within the project? I think I changed much after the media camps. I got a lot of friends who made me more communicative. I began to understand other countries, their way of thinking more, I got to know new traditions and customs. Have your tasks been changing in the progress of Youth4media ? I’ve taken part in youth4media as a participant and a co-organizer of the web-group. I’ve got much experience in communicating and web-building. I spent really interesting and exciting time, which gave me energy in life. How can you describe the participants of the camps? In which sense are they extraordinary? People are open-hearted and each person has it’s own extraodinary features. It’s amazing to get to know people who think differently and have their own traditions, customs and way of living. Are you planning to connect your future life with media work? Or maybe it’s already connected? I linked my life with media since I bought a computer and now I’m engaged in many projects in my home-town concerning web-design. Media became a part of life and I’m sure that media can emprove people and the whole society. What are your impressions about this media camp?What is special about it? Do you think such meetings contribute to reducing prejudice ? Do they help building up friendship and understanding over the borders? |
