Youth4Media. Hidden behind the name „Youth4Media“ is an european network of the youth mediawork. The Bürgermedienzentrum Bennohaus (citizen media centre) and its’ international partners try to make young people take actively part in the civil society, which is grappling creatively with the european thought. This website serves as the documentation of the work of the network and also is a portal to the other projects of the youth mediawork of the Bennohaus.

Youth4Media wins second prize at the “ Dieter Baacke Preis 2005” – Awarding

This year, four projects have been honoured for their outstanding media pedagogical work by the “Dieter Baacke Preis”.
Dr. Peter Fricke, head of department of the Federal Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, awarded the prizes in Bielefeld. The “Dieter Baacke Preis”, which has been established in cooperation of the Federal Ministry and the Society of Media Pedagogy and Communication has been awarded for the fourth time this year.

Content of this project was to lead young people in grappling artful with media. In different workshops they were supported by professional media trainers to cope with the classicals and new ways of media. The results are many interesting artful media products which are shown on this side.
Eurolab- Encouriging Youths for Europe
Young people in several european countries learn the active handling of media and use their new learned abilities to campaign together for an united Europe. In their own european TV magazine they work with themes like the European elections or the extension of the EU in the east
EU-MEDIANTRAINER
On the european Level the new advanced education concept “EU – Mediatrainer” is developed. The training concept with its’ documented manual is the first guide with all necessary qualification modules for the sustainable and qualificated media work in the area of audiovisual, digital media production.

Youth.com is a European project involving young people and their youth institutions.
Four youth institutions from Germany, France, England and The Neetherlands cooperate in workshops about new media, video and Internet, design and corporate identity and future utopies, offering a perfect frame for intercultural and media youth work.
